From the Bayou to Vietnam (and Beyond): Photography Adventures that Inspire

Every great photo tells a story — but it’s the experiences behind the lens that make those stories truly memorable. Each Hunt’s Photo Adventure and independent photography workshop is a chance to slow down, connect, and see the world through a fresh perspective.

From recent adventures in New Orleans and the Louisiana Bayou — where the gumbo was almost as good as the light — to Moab’s dramatic desert landscapes, every trip reminds me how much joy there is in the moments between the shots. These are the memories that stay with you long after the camera is put away.

Exploring New Destinations

Looking ahead, we’re adding some exciting new stops, including Vietnam, a first-time Hunt’s Photo destination. We’re also returning to favorites with fresh adventures in the Lowcountry of Charleston, South Carolina, the lush greens of the Hoh Rain Forest, the rugged seascapes of the Olympic Peninsula, and the charming puffins along Iceland’s coasts — little birds with big personalities that always bring a smile to your face.

Of course, we’ll continue our longtime favorite in Utah, photographing the wild horses — a trip that never gets old. Every adventure delivers something unexpected: a new light, a surprising encounter, or even a little dust in your lens — all part of the fun and magic of photography on location. And, backed by popular demand, we’ll be returning to the South of France to photograph the stunning white horses of Camargue, another unforgettable experience that combines culture, wildlife, and dramatic landscapes.

Why Photography Adventures Inspire

Each trip, whether it’s a Hunt’s Adventure or one of my personal workshops, is designed to inspire creativity, foster connection, and provide new ways of seeing the world. Whether it’s the vibrant culture of the French Quarter, the quiet stillness of the bayou, the playful antics of puffins in Iceland, the rugged red rocks of Moab, or the elegant white horses of Camargue, these experiences help photographers of all levels grow and create images that tell real stories.
